Sludge Tested As Lead-Poisoning Fix in Poor, Black Neighborhoods
What an absolute outrage! Federally funded scientific experiments were conducted in 2000 to test the use of sewage sludge as a means to combat lead poisoning in children. The experimental sludge was spread in yards in a poor, black neighborhood. This was never in the mainstream media to my knowledge. These experiments never would have been performed in an affluent, or white neighborhood. How awful! Read the story for yourself on the Democracy Now! website. Peace.
