US State Dept. Reverses Denial of Fulbright Grants to Palestinian Students

The decision to withdraw Fulbright scholarships from Palestinian students residing in Gaza has been reversed by the State Department. They say that the grants will be awarded to the students after assurances from Israel that the students will be granted exit permits. Approximately 600 Palestinian students are unable to study abroad because of Israeli policies. I sincerely hope these students will be able to further their educational goals abroad and will not fall victim to Israeli collective punishment yet again. Peace :)

  1. Evidence that Israel does bow down to international criticism and pressure? If only people would be more vocal.
