Take Action: Urge Gaza Ceasefire and U.S. Diplomacy

While world leaders mount urgent efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, the U.S. government has supported the Israeli assault with U.S.-supplied weapons. Urge your member of Congress and the president to demand determined U.S. diplomatic efforts to quickly restore a ceasefire.

  1. Assalamu Alaikum,

Muslims around the world are fasting in solidarity with the people of Gaza until the offensive ends.
It is expected that the offensive is going to continue for another two or three weeks.
As Muslims, we are responsible and will be accountable for what is happening to Muslims (Palestine, Chechnya, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, etc.) around the globe today.
The least we can do is fast in solidarity.

Please forward to all Muslims you know, even if you do not agree

  2. Wa Alaikum As Salaam,

Thank you, Muslimah, for your reply. I had not heard of the fasting in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip. I will, insha’allah, pass this information along to others. I whole heartedly agree that Muslims will be held accountable for what is happening to this Ummah. I would love to know what other things are being done globally, especially here in the United States (if that’s where you reside) to help bring this current crisis to a swift end. Do you have a blog that you maintain, or know of some good websites?

Thanks again for your comments. Jezak Allah Khair. Peace/Salaam. 🙂
